Community Resource Project, Inc. is a progressive organization founded in 1972 by three Latino community leaders in an effort to provide much-needed services to the low-income community. Our agency originally offered employment training to men and women exiting the correctional system. Community Resource Project, Inc. quickly recognized the changing needs of the community, and in response, our mission evolved to focus on Housing, Health, and Education. Assistance in these three strategic areas is fundamental to families’ progress from dependence to self-sufficiency.
Today, Community Resource Project, Inc. has a major impact on the families of the greater Sacramento area with service sites located throughout Sacramento, Sutter, Yuba, and San Mateo counties. We provide a variety of programs with funding from the California Department of Community Services and Development, the California Department of Public Health, other federal, state, and county grants, partnerships, and private enterprise.
Community Resource Project, Inc. is supported by a committed Board of Directors, community leaders, volunteers, and public and private funding sources. Our dedicated staff provides services in more than ten languages to more than 60,000 clients annually. With this support, our experience, and continued attention to the changing needs of our community, Community Resource Project, Inc. will continue to take a leadership role in building a stronger and healthier community.
